Has a really great sound for a portable speaker. I like the fact that the batteries are simple AA that are easy to replace. This speaker replaced an old case speaker that was twice the size with a recharable unaccessable battery. Now that it will not longer recharge, I replaced the unit with this one. This is half the size and also accepts my ipone.

I had purchased two supposedly "great quality" portable speaker systems for my iPhone previously only to be completely disappointed by the sound and the overall design of the product.

Then I discovered this beauty. If you are looking for a totally portable system for you iPhone, to use everyday or for traveling (as I did) you will be amazed and thoroughly happy. For the money these speakers are worth every penny. The case itself is not a soft case but rather a hard case top and bottom covered in nylon. I expect many years of service from it.

I had only one small complaint about the overall design and that is that the battery compartment door (on mine) doesn't seem to latch as tightly as I would like to see it but it may not be true of every unit, hence the 4 starts for design quality. That rating shouldn't be confused with anything but the battery door.

Dollar for dollar you will be blown away...I highly recommend the iHome 1P37 speakers for anyone that loves great sound quality at a reasonable price.

I wanted a something that I could listen to my iPod Touch with around the house, outside and on trips. I did a lot of research looking for a brand that had good quality sound, and after doing my homework, I ordered this. I didn't go wrong. The sound quality is excellent, the case is very sturdy and I couldn't be happier. The on-off switch and volume control are on the case itself. The in-line jack and AC adapter jack are located on the outside of the case, so everything is easily accessed. I love this item and couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
